Where students can explore and become informed consumers and producers of information.
What is a Learning Commons?
** A Learning Commons is a student-centered area where the expertise of
numerous specialists is available in a highly collaborative, integrated
learning environment. It is a physical space dedicated to meeting the
rapidly changing needs of students and faculty in a “one-stop-shopping”
The decision was made to migrate the library media center into a
Learning Commons to better serve our student needs. It is a work in
progress. Stay tuned to see the area changing. The major physical change that has been made is to create a
state-of-the-art computer lab in the Learning Commons. Students and
teachers will be able to use the new lab to access and create
information. There are more changes in the works.
The new Innovation Lab is going to be very exciting. We have stocked the lab with many activities that students can experience alone or with the entire class. The lab will include technology projects (robotics, makey makey, raspberry pi, squishy circuits, and 3D printer). We will also have lots of craft activities and much more. Please stop by and check it out.
The Learning Commons Program is committed to helping students achieve
success in school, be effective users of information and become lifelong
The Learning Commons is open from 8:30 to 3:30 on school days. The Virtual Learning Commons is available 24/7.
