CELEBRATION: Beaver Meadow School

Seven students from Beaver Meadow shared their experience with the CLiF grant, a year-long $25,000 grant for books and literacy events

Ÿ  Student Report: Van MacIver and Aryn Bernardo – the Board thanked Van for his service and leadership

Ÿ  Superintendent’s report: Kathleen Murphy  

o   Retiree and Distinguished Educators Celebration – the Board and district celebrated Distinguished Educators and 24 retirees last Tuesday

o   Revised General Assurances – Superintendent Murphy reviewed an updated General Assurances from the New Hampshire Department of Education

o   Legislative Updates – Superintendent Murphy reviewed several proposed bills

o   International Society for Technology in Education

Jim Richards provided an update on the work of the committee

GREAT SCHOOLS PARTNERSHIP Q&A – Great Schools provided a brief update on the ecosystem review process

Business Administrator Jack Dunn reviewed the finance report

Brenda Hastings provided an update of the last Instructional Committee meeting

Ÿ  NEC Partnership – CHS seniors are able to take undergraduate courses for free at New England College on a space available basis

Ÿ  Career Connected Learning at CHS – the recent career fair was organized by six career clusters for students, providing an opportunity to connect careers to classroom experiences

The Board reviewed several policies.
